Athens

COSPAR 2022 was hosted in Athens, where a combination of classical history met state-of-the-art space science research with a very pleasant Mediterranean backdrop. While I was originally stoked for this trip, it turned out to be one of my more stressful conferences… (please, just let me whine for a bit):

  • I left for Greece immediately after recovering from a miserable 16-day long COVID infection

  • When I left LA, I had yet to begin preparing for either of my two talks

  • I was still remotely managing my lab and operating two satellites

  • There was a big fat unrelated work deadline during COSPAR for which I hadn’t started yet at all

I was overworked and sleep deprived and the only time I had to go out shooting was a few times in the early morning while the city was still sleeping.

I decided not to edit my Athens photos (other than minor adjustments) because I’m not super happy with these photos sooo uhh……I hope you enjoy my mostly-straight-out-of-camera jpegs from Athens :)

Shot on my Fuji X-T3 with either my 35f2, 56mmf1.2, 10-24f4, or 50-140mmf2.8.
