Italia - Cinque Terre Part 2: Manarola, Riomaggiore, and Corniglia

On our full day in Cinque Terre, we first went to Manarola, where we learned how to make traditional Ligurian pesto (and won a free bottle of wine since we made the best pesto in the class!), before exploring more seascapes in Riomaggiore and Corniglia. The hiking trails were closed off due to landslides, but it wasn’t so bad since the train made quick work of getting from village to village.

All shot on my Fujifilm X-T3 with either my 50-140mm f2.8, 10-24mm f4, or 35mm f2. Click the photos to expand!

Manarola

Our winning pesto was made with just a few ingredients: legendary Cinque Terre basil, Italian pine nuts, garlic, extra-virgin olive oil, pecorino cheese, and lots of mashing.

Our pesto was the besto.

Gorgeous Mediterranean sea water.

Riomaggiore was okay I guess.
